About the Department
The Paragould Fire Department (PFD) covers approximately 31 square miles and provides fire, rescue, and emergency services to the residents and visitors of the City of Paragould.
The Paragould Fire Department consists of 30 full-time firefighters and 10 relief drivers. The PFD currently operates four fire stations.
The PFD is committed to the education of our children. Each year near Fire Safety Week the Fire Department hosts approximately 2000 3rd and 4th-grade students from Greene County and Southeast Missouri with the Fire Safety House, a mobile facility used to teach children how to prevent fires as well as how to get out safely if a fire were to occur in their home. During the year we visit with numerous schools, daycares, and scouting groups to teach fire safety.
