Uniform Division

The Uniform Division encompasses Patrol, School Resource Officers (SROs), and Traffic Enforcement, ensuring comprehensive coverage of community safety, roadway enforcement, and school-based policing. Officers assigned to this division handle calls for service, conduct proactive patrol, enforce traffic laws, investigate traffic crashes, and respond as first units on scene to critical incidents and emergencies.

Patrol operations are structured to provide 24-hour, seven-day-a-week coverage, utilizing a twelve-hour shift schedule that includes both day and night shifts. Each shift operates under a defined supervisory structure to ensure accountability, effective decision-making, and officer support in the field.

School Resource Officers work closely with students, school administrators, and parents to promote safety, mentorship, and early intervention within the school environment. Traffic enforcement officers focus on roadway safety through targeted enforcement, crash investigation, and education efforts aimed at reducing accidents and improving overall traffic compliance.

Uniform Division officers are equipped with modern patrol vehicles and up-to-date technology designed to enhance officer safety, efficiency, and service delivery. Mobile data systems and advanced equipment allow officers to resolve incidents more quickly, reduce inconvenience to the public, and complete required documentation accurately and efficiently.

Through visible presence, rapid response, and proactive engagement, the Uniform Division plays a vital role in maintaining public safety and strengthening trust between the Paragould Police Department and the community it serves.
