The Code Enforcement Unit is responsible for ensuring compliance with municipal ordinances that protect public health, safety, and neighborhood quality of life. This unit addresses issues related to property maintenance, nuisance violations, and other ordinance-based matters that impact the community.
Code Enforcement officers work proactively and in coordination with Patrol, Investigations, and other city departments to resolve violations through education, voluntary compliance, and enforcement when necessary. Their efforts help prevent conditions that contribute to crime, blight, and safety hazards.
Through consistent enforcement and community engagement, the Code Enforcement Unit plays a key role in maintaining safe, clean, and livable neighborhoods.

Investigations of compliance concerns can be initiated by community members who report their concerns to the City by calling in or submitting a Code Enforcement Request Form.
